As we head into Father’s Day 2017 Weekend, today’s blog post about a Typewriter Robert E Howard Pictorial Postmark makes perfect sense to me.
Dad’s Typewriter is still one of my favorite blog posts I’ve written. It was written a few weeks before my first Fathers’ Day without Dad, and it was in 2015. I’m including an image of his typewriter. When I wrote that blog post, his typewriter had arrived a few weeks earlier, a birthday present from Mom. She knew how much I loved that typewriter. Fast forward to my October 05, 2015 blog post, I talk about getting it back from being sent off for a tune up and was identified as an Olympia SM5, 1964.
My typewriter collection has grown from one to now six since launching AnchoredScraps.com.

Thank you to Jimmy Jordan, my local stamp club buddy for the inspiration for today’s blog post. His email earlier this week led the way for today’s blog post.
In looking at the June 8th Postal Bulletin Pictorial Postmarks it shows one for Robert E Howard with a typewriter. It looks like an Underwood No. 5.
Quick – Here’s a pop quiz – Who was Robert E Howard?
Anchors Aweigh,
Helen
P.S. Answer – in tomorrow’s blog post!
