It is a joy to be writing about on discovering Silly Little Goals! The newly launched Silly Little Goals is the creative idea by Adam Silver. Getting to visit with him recently while he was in Wilmington included him sharing about the site. Later this year he will be celebrating his 500th Episode of TheKitchenSinkWP Podcast! It was almost FIVE years ago when Adam and I were fellow WordCamp Speakers in Birmingham, Alabama.
His Why for Silly Little Goals sums it up best!
“Life is too short to always be thinking of the BHAG goals that the society might want for us. That being said, I want to help you get small wins from week to week.” – Adam Silver, SillyLittleGoals.com
On discovering Silly Little Goals
We can read in his About page Silly Little Goals why he is has it and taking a break from what he calls Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAGs). Which he wraps up the page with
“…Join me on this journey of celebrating the small, embracing the silly, and finding fulfillment in the seemingly insignificant.
Together, we’ll uncover the magic that lies within the simplicity of our aspirations.”
To participate, all one does is sign up with your name and email – which is never shared. Then each week a new email arrives in our inbox!
Furthermore, I’m looking back at two previous blog posts here from over the past 8 years of blogging at AnchoredScraps which has included Adam Silver.
First, we have from my August 5, 2018 blog post – WordCamp Birmingham 2018 WrapUp & don’t miss Adam Silver podcast airing tomorrow, blog post #1257.
Secondly, as we fast forward from 2018, to 2020 he was celebrating his Six Year Anniversary with his podcast. In my March 2, 2020 blog post, Cardthartic Boxed Notes, Stationery Trends Magazine Winter 2020, & Congratulations to Adam Silver for The kitchensinkWP Podcast Six Year Anniversary!
And finally, and here is the drumroll…. here we are now in June 2023 and later this year he will be celebrating his 500th Podcast of TheKitchenSinkWP Podcast!
And with a nod towards whimsy and circling back to letter writing, I’ll be printing off a copy of this blog post and popping it into the snail mail to Adam for his lovely souvenir!
As we wrap up the month of June, I hope you’ll join me with trying out Silly Little Goals! Thanks again to Adam for his gift of time for sharing his creativity with us.
