When seeing the role of Letter Writing in the film Joshua (2002), I knew I would be sharing it here at AnchoredScraps. In addition, I’m including a few previous movies we have covered here over the past five years where letter writing weighs in as part of the plot!
First of all, it has been raining all night and I am in awe of the early Sunday morning quiet. I find I am reflective, especially with today being daily blog post #1999!
Letter Writing in film Joshua (2002)
To begin with, although it was before Easter when seeing the movie, I have been waiting to share it to queue it up for now. The best way to share it is, do not go and read all of the movie reviews about it beforehand. No spoilers. It is a quiet, thoughtful, and beautifully done movie, and I loved the characters. The music from the soundtrack I was able to track down and purchase it and enjoy the CD. It features music by “… by Michael W. Smith, Jaci Velasquez, Mark Schultz, Point of Grace, and Third Day.”
It stars Tony Goldwyn, F. Murray Abraham, Kurt Fuller, Stacy Edwards, and Giancarlo Giannini.
Somehow when this movie originally came out, I never saw it. The film is based on the novel, Joshua, written in 1983 by Joseph Francis Girzone, an American Catholic priest and writer.
I’m seeing it available for streaming on Amazon for a rental fee, and DVD and VHS available for purchasing. I hope you’ll consider getting it in the queue for viewing.
Other movies we have covered where letter writing weighs in as part of the plot!
Here are a few of them. I’m just listing them with their respective links to my blog posts on each of them.
