Back to School themed post with Lunchbox Letters Revisit

We are greeting this Friday morning in time for this Back to School themed post with Lunchbox Letters Revisit.

Before beginning, it appears Hurricane Dorian winds and rain are wrapping up today for us.  Thank you for all of your prayers, emails and texts. Hopefully we are through the worst of it.

Next, I’m recalling one of my earliest posts here at AnchoredScraps was in April 2015 on “Lunchbox Letters”, “Laptop Letters”, & “Hummingbird Joy” – books by Bill Zimmerman (4-21-2015). And in time for school that year, my post on Back to School (& Lunch Box Letters) (8-24-2015).

More recently, we caught up with author Bill in my post on “AARP Magazine Featuring MakeBeliefsComix Creator Bill Zimmerman” (6-11-2019).

In his Something to Write About blog Bill has a recent Writing Prompt from August 19th: How Do You Want to Develop in the New School Year?

I’m closing with this excerpt from my April 21 blog post (which covered three of his books).

“The book Lunch Box Letters: Writing Notes of Love and Encouragement to Your Children was written in 2007.  “Wouldn’t the world be a better place if each child every day might find a handwritten note of love and encouragement in her or his lunch box? In writing such letters a parent or caregiver bestows upon a child one of the most precious gifts that can ever be given: the knowledge that she or he is loved. ”   This book encourages parents to write notes of love and encouragement to their children and shows you how.  It is available in paperback at Amazon.com.

Join me tomorrow for my Saturday blog post.
