Dog days of summer

Today we have a returning guest, our family dog Cuddy, it is his sixth visit to blog here (a monthly tradition here at AnchoredScraps.com).

Happy Sunday on this third of five Sunday’s in August 2015!

When I came up with the title for today’s blog post it had been on one of those very hot summer days; however today it is unexpectedly wonderful! Regardless – I did not want a good blog post title (and time sensitive one) to go to waste.

Yesterday’s blog post had the stamp with Dorothy and her dog Toto for The Wizard of Oz  While I have not been on a stamp, yet, I did want to share today’s photo of me basking in the summer sun at the beach with my dog-Mom Helen.  There was a fantastic breeze that came through when that photo was taken of us.

How about you? Are you taking advantage of the remaining week(s) in front of us for the summer?  Today I am sharing a few quotes as we kick off the day!

“Summer afternoon – summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language”. – Henry James

“Summer’s lease hath all too short a date”.  – William Shakespeare, Shakespeare’s Sonnets

“Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability.” – Sam Keen

This continues to be my negotiated standard guest-blog fee – my customary three biscuits from Costco! Photo taken by dog-Mom Helen.

If you are new to reading AnchoredScraps.com blog you can see my previous guest postings:  My debut blog post was on March 17 Paws-ing for St. Patrick’s and included sharing my story of being matched with my forever family in July 2008 through the American Brittany Rescue (on Twitter@ABrittanyRescue); on April 12 Paws-ing to Type; on May 21 Paws-ing for May flowers; on June 11 Pool Season (has arrived) and on July 31 Christmas in July (Santa Paws)

Wishing you a paws-itively wonderful Sunday and happy summer days ahead in these remaining days of August, Cuddy
