Today’s letter writing blog post is on the Upcoming retiring USPS stamps effective at the end of this month, March 31, 2018. The soon to be retiring USPS stamps include Flannery O’Connor, Richard Allen, Shirley Temple, Quilled Paper Hearts, Love: Forever Hearts, Botanical Art, U.S. Flag 2016, Pickup Trucks, Colorful Celebrations, and Songbirds in Snow.
Several of these stamps we have seen here in previous blog posts which I’m including a list at the end of today’s post.
Now is the time to order favorites before they are going, going, gone!
In the current USPS Postal Bulletin from last week, it includes listing “Stamp Stock Items Withdrawn From Regular Sale and From Sale at Philatelic Centers”. I’m paraphrasing here – it shares how they are to be completely withdrawn and prepare for destruction and do not permit sales after March 31, 2018. You can read the entire article here.
I’ve gone ahead and looked up each stamp and am including their individual image in the list below. This is for helping to help us SEE these soon to be retiring USPS stamps. The listing below is in same sequence as at the USPS Postal Bulletin article. I’m including this link to the USPS Website for ordering stamps.
Please note I’m running into several of the stamps when going to order them online appearing with “Sold Out” – I’m including a link to the “Sold Out” page for those I went in search. What I do not know is if they could still be available at your local Post Office or even a neighboring one!
