April 2017 AnchoredScraps Daily Blog Recap

This month saw us covering letter writing with the centennial for America entering WWI with several posts including the book, WWI Letters Dear Boys In Service by Frank Skidmore (included below in the Recap).

Getting to bring a guest to the local stamp club this month was fun with resulting in having a new member join! I’m delighted with some special envelope cachets I received and some stamps thanks to local stamp club buddies, Jimmy, and Bruce.

It was just two short weeks ago it was Easter 2017!  In wrapping up National Letter Writing Month I was able to write 32 people with the cards and letters I sent via snail mail.  I’m still making my way through individually replying to the letters I received from #InCoWriMo.

Our puppy Cooper turned 1 years old this month and is recovering nicely from his surgery. In the midst of all this, the month included adding a new pen pal who lives in Spain, who found me by chance. It is fun to meet kindred letter writers!
