On this Wednesday, we bid farewell to the month with my January 2018 AnchoredScraps Daily Blog Recap of my letter writing blog. Today is daily blog post #1071! New this month – I’m including comments to the post of any follow-on thoughts reflecting arrivals and/or usage too.

There must be something about the last day of January, as I find myself like I did on this day last year greeting the morning with a cup of hot chocolate. Cooper is enjoying Wednesday playtime at dog daycare romping with fellow buddies. For Coastal North Carolina this morning the temperature greeting me this morning is 24 degrees Fahrenheit.

The photo I chose for today’s blog post is from Dreamstime. Its description is “Apple on the territory of the Ipatievsky monastery in Kostroma Russia in January of 2017.”  My letter writing today includes me writing a letter to new Pen Pal in Thailand. The dining room table will be busy with organizing my letter writing for February with #InCoWriMo, writing one letter each day. I’m still figuring out how many it will be this year, especially since last year I ended up writing 125 letters during the event!

Please do not underestimate the importance of sending a handwritten letter of encouragement to our friends, family, and even someone you don’t know, i.e. today is the last call to get Valentines sent to Homefront Hugs for Troops.

While the month has found us with some cold weather, it has been a very fast January 2018.
