On this last Saturday in February, it is Leap Year Day, AnchoredScraps February Recap 2020 Blogging Daily & Vintage Leap Year Postcards.
First, finding these Vintage Leap Year Postcards from the 1910s got me looking behind the tradition for them.
“Back in 1288, the Scots passed a law that allowed a woman to propose marriage to the man of their dreams in a leap year, with the law also stating that any man who declined the proposal on this day would have to pay a fine.”
Over at the Etsy Shop KaysVintageEphemera, there is only the one left of the five. It is called “Ladies in waiting” for $12.75. This one is showing 1912 on the design.

And with today being Leap Year, it is my second time to be blogging on Leap Year Day!
